June 2026
Another month, another set of month notes. June was lovely. For half of it I was away on holiday to the Herault coast in the south of France. We strolled, ate, swam, and read. Rory has started sleeping better. It was sunny. Perfect!
I was away for the scheduled date for GlasgowJS so Andrew hosted a social. For EdinburghJS I organised Sara to come up from London to speak to us about emulation. Luigi did a lightnight talk on colours and accessibility, as part of our “launchpad” speaking programme.
I’m organising a summer social in July, and hope to see as many folks there as possible.
Reading
I finished To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf, then started on The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann, and The Age of Reason by Jean-Paul Sartre. I also browsed Tove Jansson: Work and Love, as I have recently been enjoying her artwork.
See you at the end of the month 👋
